ZenLyfe

Licensed therapists on video. Mood tracking in between.

ZenLyfe pairs adults in the US with a therapist licensed in their state for 50-minute video sessions. A daily mood log and biweekly PHQ-9 and GAD-7 check-ins show you and your therapist what is changing from week to week.

ZenLyfe is not an emergency service. In a crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.

Four numbers your therapist sees before each session

A
Next session
Your booked 50-minute video session, the therapist's name and license type, and a Join button that opens the encrypted room 10 minutes before start time. Reschedule up to 24 hours ahead at no cost.
B
7-day mood average
Each day you rate your mood from 1 to 10 and add optional tags like sleep, work or family. The card shows your rolling weekly average and how it moved since last week.
C
PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores
Every two weeks you complete the PHQ-9 (depression) and GAD-7 (anxiety) questionnaires. Scores and their standard severity bands appear here, and your therapist reviews them before your next session.
D
Mood trend
A 14-day line of your daily ratings. Patterns, such as a dip every Sunday night, become something concrete to talk about in session instead of something you try to remember.

Your health data stays between you and your therapist

Mental health records are some of the most sensitive data a person has. These are the rules we run on.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest

Video, messages and journal entries travel over TLS 1.2+ and are stored with AES-256 encryption. Our video provider signs a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.

  • Only your assigned therapist has access

Mood ratings and check-in scores are visible to your current therapist only. Written journal entries stay private unless you share them one by one.

  • No health data for advertising

We do not sell your data or pass health information to ad networks or social media platforms for targeting.

  • Export or delete whenever you want

Download your mood log and check-in history as CSV or PDF. Request account deletion and we remove your data within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.

Common questions

Are ZenLyfe therapists licensed?

Yes. Every therapist holds an active license in the state where you are located during sessions, such as a psychologist (PhD or PsyD), LMFT, LCSW, or LPC/LPCC. We verify each license with the state board before a therapist can see clients, and the license type is shown on their profile.

Can I use ZenLyfe if I travel to another state?

Licensing follows where you are physically located at the time of the session, not where you live. If you will be in a different state, tell us before booking so we can confirm your therapist is allowed to practice there.

Who can see my mood journal?

Only you, by default. Your mood ratings and PHQ-9 / GAD-7 scores are shared with your assigned therapist. Written journal entries are private unless you switch on sharing for a specific entry.

Is ZenLyfe for emergencies?

No. ZenLyfe is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger.

Who is ZenLyfe not right for?

ZenLyfe plans are for adults 18 and over. They are not suitable for people in an acute crisis, for court-ordered or otherwise mandated therapy, or for anyone without a device and a stable internet connection for video.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Plans bill monthly and you can cancel from your account settings before your next billing date. Details are in our Refund Policy.
